REPRODUCTION. This is one coolant temperature sensor. This part threads near the intake manifold. Two sensors are usually required per car; please see our other listing for the EFI air intake sensor.

This part features the original OEM style connector so no modifications are needed for this. The wiring is multi-strand all copper (not copper clad aluminum) and the sensor housing has been upgraded to provide a durable and reliable replacement part. The sensor varies resistance based on temperature. There is no designation for positive (+) or negative (-) terminals on switch so the the original plug can connect in either connection. Please be sure to test your original plug before installing as corrosion over time can prevent this from getting the signal properly. Replaces Part # 1609968
