REPRODUCTION. This is one Electronic Fuel Injection (E.F.I) air intake sensor. This part threads near the intake manifold. Two sensors are usually required per car; please see our other listing for the coolant temperature sensor.

This part features the original OEM style connector so no modifications are needed for this. The wiring is multi-strand all copper (not copper clad aluminum) and the sensor housing has been upgraded to provide a durable and reliable replacement part. The sensor varies resistance based on temperature. There is no designation for positive (+) or negative (-) terminals on switch so the the original plug can connect in either connection. Please be sure to test your original plug before installing as corrosion over time can prevent this from getting the signal properly. Replaces Part # 1609968

**PLEASE NOTE: For 1976 Seville Models, there are two different kinds with different connectors. Early 1976 Seville models BEFORE VIN 480001 use a different connector. Please compare to yours to ensure proper fitment. It is possible that you can reuse your original connector and splice into the wiring of this sensor. If the part is modified it is not returnable.
